Lord Darnley and the fair devil of Scotland.... She was the Queen at six days old, indeed a queen twice over by the time she was a teenager, he was an East Leeds lad! Their relationship didn't last long, but it was passionate - indeed explosive! Expect music, stories, puppets and a goodly helping of audience participation! (Event NOT suitable for children). Dorothy Parkin and The Leeds Waits perform at stately homes and heritage events around the region, and for organisations such as English Heritage and The National Trust. The Waits have performed on radio and television, and also have thirty years experience of playing for historical dance groups. They play authentic music on authentic instruments, always performing in appropriate historical dress. Ticket Price is just £6 and includes your choice of coffee or tea and a brownie bite.
